In January of 2011, The Pod CEO Samantha Strickland didn’t have a pod. She was a company of one. Her office was in her house, her daughter played at her feet.

A consultant contracting with freelancers on an as-needed basis for clients, she launched Pea Green Solutions, Inc.  Working for herself, choosing clients with whom she loved to work, the grass was definitely greener.

18 months later, that even greener grass surrounds a 3,300 square-foot “pod” in downtown Tallahassee where more than two dozen full-time, part-time, freelance and intern “Peas” bloom creative.

That’s why in July 2012, Sam officially changed the name of her company to The Pod. “It represents the people who make up this growing entity that I couldn’t even have imagined a year and a half ago,” she said. “We truly are a ‘melting pod’ of talents, backgrounds, cultures, tastes and we all love to tell our clients’ stories.”
